The We the Voters Podcast cuts through the noise and brings both sides of big issues straight to your ears.

Season 1 now airing on all your favorite podcast apps.

We the Voters Podcast digs deep into tough conversations.

Since 2019, I’ve had hundreds of conversations across the United States about big wins and harrowing losses. With every conversation, I’ve learned another perspective and put another piece together in the American puzzle.

Now, I bring lessons from those conversations — and research I’ve dug up along the way — straight home to you.

As with everything from We the Voters, it’s my goal that this podcast will encourage you to look at issues from differing perspectives — and look at fellow Americans with the same empathy you grant your family and friends.

The We the Voters Podcast with Emily Cate is now available on Apple Podcasts, Google Play, Spotify, Stitcher, Soundcloud, YouTube, and more! You can find links to the show on your favorite listening service at the bottom of this page.

Introducing Season One: Debunking US Myths

In the premiere season of the We the Voters podcast, I dive deep into 12 of the largest issues facing US citizens — covering opinions and uncovering myths from both sides of the aisle.

Over 12 episodes, I walk listeners through the context and core beliefs on both sides of the aisle when investigating major issues.

New episodes in the first season are released every Wednesday.

Podcast FAQ

Are you new to the world of podcasts? Welcome! I’ve answered a few of the most commonly asked questions below. If you have more q’s, feel free to shoot me an email at wethevotersproject@gmail.com.

Q: What is a podcast?
A: A podcast is, essentially, an on-demand radio show. I publish new episodes to an RSS feed, which you can access via various listening platforms. And even better — you can listen whenever and wherever you want, rewind and replay if you need to, and keep all the details right at your fingertips.
Q: How can I listen to a podcast?
A: You can listen to a podcast on your phone, your computer, your iPad, or even via a smart listening device, like an Amazon Alexa or Google Home. You can see all the places you can listen on this page — just click the button for the app you’re interested in and you’ll be taken right to the show. These apps are totally free — just like listening to the podcast!
Q: What does it mean to subscribe to a podcast?
A: The We the Voters Podcast releases a new episode every Wednesday. If you want access to each new episode as soon as it hits the air, you can subscribe through one of the podcast apps linked above to have it sent right to your computer or phone. Subscribing to the podcast is like setting the DVR to record new episodes of your favorite TV show.
Q: How much does it cost to listen to the podcast?
A: Nothing! It’s complete free!
Q: What podcast app should I use?
A: There are plenty of options to listen to the podcast (they’re all linked above!)… and they are easily accessible via your phone or computer.
Q: What do you mean when you say show notes?
A: Show notes are a blog post published on the same day the podcast episode is released. This is a spot on the site where you can see website links to things I talk about, more information about big issues, updates about the podcast, a transcript of the episode, and more.
Q: Why do you keep talking about reviews?
A: Reviews are an important part of how the podcast can grow — and they are a completely free way to support We the Voters! By leaving a 5-star review on your favorite listening app, you are making it more easy for listeners to find the show and for me to bring on guests to share their knowledge. Thank you for your support!
Q: Why should I listen to the We the Voters podcast?
A: We the Voters podcast is a starting place for bipartisan conversation. Here, I dive into both sides of hot issues so you can have a better understanding of what “the other side” thinks…whichever “other side” that may be. My hope is that this podcast encourages you to think more fully about all the facets of the US and its culture.
